History

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

At Tabs I built the creator program and the paid engine side by side: a hook library, one variable per test, losers killed early. Sperry Honey sells honey and beeswax, a different category, and I have not run food and beverage. So the claims sheet and the category rules come before the first brief.

Why now

  • 1920's

A family story creators can retell

Mark and Becca say their family has been beekeeping since the 1920's. A creator can say that in one breath, and it is already in your words.

    Published
  • $25.00

A clear entry price to point at

The Raw Unfiltered Honey 2 lb size is $25.00, with 5 lb at $54.99 and 10 lb at $99.98. Creators can name the size on camera and the viewer knows what it costs.

    Published
  • 15%

A published coupon to test against

Your page offers a 15% coupon when a visitor chooses a product. It gives every creator video a concrete next step, once you confirm the terms for the claims sheet.

Part 4 of 15

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Cost per 1,000 views, target $1 (Proposed). The simulator reads $5.74 on 1.8M views today. Every test moves that number or gets killed early.

  2. One variable per test

Same Raw Unfiltered Honey jar, same shot, only the hook changes. Seven videos per creator per week gives enough reps to read a result before the next brief.

  3. Losers killed early

A hook that stalls is dropped by the next Monday brief. Winners go into the hook library and get remade by other creators on the honey jar or the 1 lb beeswax block.

  4. One channel for all the work

Briefs, claim questions, drafts and reports live in one team workspace. A claim question gets answered before the video posts, not after, and you can read it all.

One channel for everything

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. EllieMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: the Raw Unfiltered Honey jar. Seven videos each. One variable per test: keep the shot, change only the first line. Use lines from the claims sheet only.

  2. MarcusTue 10:15 AM

Can I say the honey is good for allergies? A follower asked and I want to answer in the video.

No. Leave out any health outcome. Say what the sheet says: Never pasteurized or filtered. Then show the pour.

  3. Report botAppMon 7:00 AM

Weekly report posted: views and cost per 1,000 views by creator and format against the $1 target. Two hooks killed, one added to the hook library.

  4. EllieWed 2:40 PM

Draft sent back, Priya: the beeswax block shows up too late. Open on the block, keep the line Your hunt for beeswax is over. in the first seconds, then reshoot.

Got it. Reshooting tonight with the block in hand from the first frame.

  5. Report botAppThu 9:12 AM

Priya's beeswax block video passed 100,000 views. $50 flat bonus logged for organic views. Candidate for the paid test list.

  6. EllieFri 4:00 PM

Check before the weekend: every posted video this week matches the claims sheet and the category rule. Any miss is pulled, and that video earns no bonus.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 15

Formats

  1. Search is over: the honey jar

    Brief 01

Search is over: the honey jar

“Your search for real raw honey is over.”

Overhead in natural light: jar on the counter, label to camera, slow pour onto a spoon. One take, no cuts.

  2. Hunt is over: the beeswax block

    Brief 02

Hunt is over: the beeswax block

“Your hunt for beeswax is over.”

Hold the 1 lb block to camera, turn it to the label, then set it beside a candle mold. Natural light, steady frame.

  3. Never filtered: the honey close-up

    Brief 03

    Never filtered: the honey close-up

    “Never pasteurized or filtered.”

Close-up of the lid opening and a slow spoon lift. No music, so the texture and the line carry it.

  4. Straight from the farm

    Brief 04

    Straight from the farm

“Packed and shipped straight from our farm”

Walk-and-talk in kitchen or workshop: show the box packed, then the jar in hand. Name North Dakota once.

  5. Freeze and hammer: cutting beeswax

    Brief 05

    Freeze and hammer: cutting beeswax

“Just freeze your block for 24 hours”

Block in a bag, wrapped in towel, hammer on a flat surface. Show the chunks breaking, then end on the melt pot.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Your search for real raw honey is over.”, “Never pasteurized or filtered”, “Our 1 lb blocks are 100% pure beeswax with no fillers.”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 15

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Honey recipe cooks

Your honey recipes cover popcorn, buffalo sauce, hot honey and pork chops. Cooks who already post dishes like those have the shot and the audience.

  • Beeswax makers

The block listing names candle making, wood polish, wraps, lip balm, soap and lotion bars. Makers posting those projects are the natural fit, and your beeswax tutorials back them up.

  • Farm and family storytellers

Mark and Becca run a North Dakota family operation. Homestead and small-farm creators can tell that story without inventing a word.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

I did not find an affiliate or ambassador page on the site, so there is no existing roster to inherit. Recruiting starts from zero, and I run it.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Passes the claims quiz

Gets every line on the approved claims sheet right before the first brief.

  2. 2Product in hand

Has posted cooking or craft videos with the product visible, not voiceover on stock footage.

  3. 3Clean category record

No past posts promising health outcomes from food or wax.

  4. 4Takes a draft sent back

Accepts one variable per test and a reshoot without a long debate.

  5. 5Posts at volume

Can hold seven videos a week without the hooks blurring together.

Part 7 of 15

Who

  • Home cook

Makes the honey garlic pork chops or honey popcorn on camera and finishes with the jar.

    Likely product: Raw Unfiltered Honey

  • Hot honey hobbyist

Films the homemade hot honey from stove to strain and store.

    Likely product: Raw Unfiltered Honey

  • Candle maker

Melts the 1 lb block and pours a candle, start to finish, in natural light.

Likely product: Sperry Honey - Beeswax Block - 1 lb

  • Wood finish DIYer

Uses the block as wood polish on a real piece, as the product listing describes.

Likely product: Sperry Honey - Beeswax Block - 1 lb

  • Lip balm and soap crafter

Makes lip balm, soap or lotion bars from the block and shows the mold.

Likely product: Sperry Honey - Beeswax Block - 1 lb

  • Homestead family

A family that cooks together and tells the farm story of Mark and Becca.

    Likely product: Raw Unfiltered Honey

Left off, every time

Always out: anyone who promises health outcomes from honey or wax, anyone who compares Sperry Honey to other brands, creators who cannot show the product in hand, and anyone who uses a discount you have not published. Category rule: food claims stay on the sheet.

Claims sheet

Approved, word for word

Quoted exactly as the brand publishes it.

  • “Your search for real raw honey is over.”

Opening line for the honey jar pour video

  • “Local North Dakota beekeepers”

Voiceover on the farm and family format

  • “From our own bees”

Honey jar close-up and farm walk-and-talk

  • “Packed and shipped straight from our farm”

Packing shot, hook of the farm format

  • “Never pasteurized or filtered”

Honey close-up with the lid opening

  • “Our 1 lb blocks are 100% pure beeswax with no fillers.”

    Beeswax block and candle-making videos

  • “We offer free shipping via USPS or UPS.”

Closing line, once the shipping terms are confirmed

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Any claim that the honey improves health or eases a condition

Health outcomes are never claimed. Only the brand's own wording, attributed to the brand.

  • Any comparison with other honey or beeswax brands

Nothing on the product pages supports a comparison.

  • Calling the honey organic

The product pages do not say it. Stay with raw, unfiltered, local.

  • Promising fast delivery

The page says orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 weeks, unless out of stock.

  • Saying the product is always in stock

The shipping line itself allows for out-of-stock items.

  • Inventing discount codes or sales

Only offers published by Sperry Honey may be mentioned, after confirmation.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • Choose your product to get a 15% coupon

Confirm the terms and whether creators may mention it before any video does.

  • Featured in Fox News, Parade.com, and Yahoo News.

Confirm which features and whether creators may quote them.

  • lip balm, soap, lotion bars

Confirm the wording for skin-contact crafts before creators show them on camera.

Part 10 of 15

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

New creators with one tight niche, such as a single honey recipe format. Lowest cap.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Steady posters who hold seven videos a week and take notes. The middle cap.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Creators whose honey or beeswax videos already travel. Top cap, reviewed monthly.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, however many videos pass the line.
  • The bonus is per video: a single video past 100,000 views earns the $50 flat.
  • Organic views only. Paid boosts, whitelisting and ad spend do not count.
  • No bonus on any video that breaks the claims sheet or the category rule.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Part 11 of 15

Simulator

Read it as a gap, not a forecast: 303 videos reach 1.8M views and cost $10,050, so $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1.00. Either 4.2% go viral or the median hits 21,711.

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Two creators go live each week. Seven videos each per week, one variable per test, first losers killed early. Cost per 1,000 views starts well above the $1 target.

  3. Month 2

    Roster climbs toward ten

The hook library fills from winners. Top Starter creators move up a band. The simulator's $5.74 is the number to close.

  4. Month 3

    All ten live

303 creator videos a month. Winning hooks get remade across creators. Any video past 100,000 views earns the $50 flat bonus.

Exit

From organic to paid

  1. Pick the winners

Videos that beat the median and hold cost per 1,000 views near the $1 target go on a short list. Weak ones stay organic.

  2. Get written permission

The creator agrees in writing that Sperry Honey may run the video as an ad. Nothing runs without it.

  3. Run one paid test

The winner runs as a paid ad with one variable changed, the hook or the cover. Same claims sheet, same rules.

  4. Scale or kill

If the paid test holds the target, it gets more budget. If not, it is killed early and the hook goes back to the library.

From the video to the checkout

  • Honey videos land on the Raw Unfiltered Honey product page, with the 2 lb, 5 lb and 10 lb sizes visible.
  • Beeswax videos land on the 1 lb Beeswax Block page at $21.99.
  • Recipe videos link to your Honey Recipes page, then to the jar.
  • Beeswax craft videos link to your Beeswax Tutorials page, then to the block.
  • The 15% coupon and free shipping are mentioned only after you confirm the terms.

Part 15 of 15

Category rules

Food and beeswax: what creators may say

Sperry Honey sells a food and a craft wax. Both stay on the sheet, and the sheet stays on what your own pages say.

  • Claims sheet only

Creators quote lines from the approved sheet, word for word. Anything not on it goes to the claims channel first and waits for an answer before posting.

  • No health outcomes

Nothing about what honey does to a body. Product wording is attributed to Sperry Honey, such as Never pasteurized or filtered, never turned into a benefit.

  • Honest shipping

Orders are processed and shipped within 1-2 weeks, unless out of stock. Creators never promise faster, and free shipping via USPS or UPS is said only as written.

  • Published offers only

The 15% coupon is mentioned only after you confirm the terms. No invented codes, no sales, no stacked deals. Pricing is named as on the page, such as $25.00 for 2 lb.

  • Show the kitchen and shop safely

Cutting beeswax follows your tutorial: freeze the block for 24 hours, bag it, hammer on a flat surface. Creators do not improvise riskier methods on camera.

  • Break a rule, lose the bonus

A video that breaks the sheet or this list is pulled and earns no $50 bonus. Repeat breaks end the creator's place on the roster, whatever the band cap.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
